Culture & Community
Senior Banquet
Held at the beautiful Basking Ridge Country Club, our STA Senior banquet has become a highlight event on the calendar every year. The banquet is our opportunity to celebrate our graduates and share our collective memories of their time as STA players. Hearing from players and coaches throughout the night, sharing pictures, telling stories, reliving old memories and making new ones, it’s a night that brings out all the best of what our #stafamily represents.
STA Senior Day
Within our Girls Academy program, Senior Day is the perfect example of the power of role modeling, of community and of inspiration. It brings out the values we live by as we take the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of all of those in our senior class and in doing so, show the aspirational youngsters still pursuing their dreams, what is possible when hard work meets talent. With posters, gifts and photo opportunities galore, it’s a day and occasion that all involved remember forever.
STA Drive For Development
Our annual charity Golf Day that generates funds for the tuition and travel support that we provide to hundreds of families within the program each year through our 501 C 3 STA Support Institute, our Drive For Development has become a key date for both our golf loving families and coaches.
With the generous support of our sponsors / partners and membership at large, we are able to create a fantastic day for all in attendance.
With a silent auction and raffle prizes to be won that include exceptional event experiences and memorabilia from across the soccer world this is an event not to miss!
All support from within our community is greatly appreciated.
Hope For The Holidays
A constant on our calendars for years now, our Hope For The Holidays campaign led by Coach Kelly Sims has risen over $50,000 in gift cards and gift donations to those less fortunate over the years.
Contributions from every team in the club ensures that people within our community do not go without during the holiday season and we are greatly appreciate to the generosity shown that allows us to contribute so significantly to a cause close to our heart.
STA Strong
What started with Breast Cancer awareness and has evolved across so many iterations to simply helping a cause close to the hearts of our membership and families at large, our STA strong campaign is another that we are proud ot have as an annual tradition within our soccer club.
We have raised money for breast cancer by playing in pink, all cancers by playing in bespoke uniforms for a month, mental health support and grievance support. Sadly, with a club of our size, we have felt the pain that life sometimes throws at us, and we are committed to coming together to ensure we do what we can to help ease the burden of those within our broader family.
Halloween Tournament
Who doesn’t love costumes and candy at Halloween. A favorite for the players (and staff) within our girls zone 1 teams, our annual Halloween tournament allows all our players to get creative and dress up in costumes of their choosing for a fun Friday night under the lights at Central Park. With moments captured on camera, and candy for best costumes and teams, this is one of the nights that we know will be looked back upon during graduation as one of their all time favorites.
